Su resoluci\u00f3n total es de unos fant\u00e1sticos 3,2 gigap\u00edxeles. Esta singular c\u00e1mara ha completado con \u00e9xito sus primeras observaciones de prueba, que duraron 10 horas. El proyecto comenz\u00f3 en 2012. Para 2020, se hab\u00edan ensamblado 189 sensores de 16 megap\u00edxeles. El ensamblaje final de la c\u00e1mara, comparable en tama\u00f1o a un autom\u00f3vil peque\u00f1o y con un peso aproximado de 3 toneladas, se complet\u00f3 a principios de 2024.<!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<p>La versi\u00f3n final de la c\u00e1mara incluye 201 sensores de alta sensibilidad con p\u00edxeles de 10 micras. El sistema \u00f3ptico consta de tres lentes, la mayor de las cuales tiene un metro y medio de di\u00e1metro. La c\u00e1mara es capaz de tomar im\u00e1genes de 15 segundos cada 20 segundos, operando en el rango de radiaci\u00f3n ultravioleta a infrarrojo cercano. En marzo de este a\u00f1o, la c\u00e1mara se instal\u00f3 en el telescopio de sondeo Simony del observatorio chileno.
